Avid BB5 Road Disc Brake Caliper w/ Rotor

The BB5 Road is a no-compromise disc brake for riders looking for a system without hydraulics on their road racer.

The mechanical system allows for simple adjustment and is much easier to maintain than a hydraulic disc brake. The Avid Ball Bearing 5 Road combines the advantages of a mechanical brake with the braking performance of a disc – especially in wet conditions.

The brake can be used as a front or rear brake and can be operated with all SRAM Double Tap shift/brake handles (Red, Force, Rival, Apex).

Tri-Align Caliper Positioning System: Another original Avid technology that makes your life easier – it’s never been easier to fit and adjust a brake. With Avid’s Tri-Align Caliper Positioning System, centring the brake caliper on the rotor is literally possible in just a few seconds. Simply loosen the CPS bolts a little, press the brake lever and tighten the bolts again. Perfect alignment of the brake caliper in no time at all.
